This shows the wonderful work in the centre, George and the dragon, with

[evil to him who evil thinks]
the Motto of the order of the garter. This was first used on the coins of Charles I.
As such a small part of the design,the legend is usually illegible but not on Simon’s work.







The fields of the coin are a wonderful and polished and once again the reverse field
is convex, providing the George and the dragon protection from cabinet friction.
